Rare for sale, very beautiful complete Naginata in very good condition, from the beginning of the Edo Era - Kanbun period 1661-1673 (17th century), with its Shinto blade (not certified), signed 濃 洲 関 住 寿命 “Noshu Seki Ju Jumyo ”from the Jumyo Blacksmith School which prospered in Yamato Province, then in Mino Province (Noshu) and its Koshirae in Raden.
The Naginata is a Japanese weapon with a curved blade, particularly appreciated by monks and reaching up to two meters in length, and which was once used on battlefields to cut the hocks of horses. It was also a very effective weapon in mid-range combat against a warrior on foot.
