Famous work containing a title-frontispiece and 58 mythological plates out of text, engravings by Cornelis II (Le Jeune) Bloemaert (Utrecht, circa 1603 - Rome, circa 1692) illustrating the original edition of 1655, accompanied by scholarly commentaries by Abbé de Marolles (1600-1681).
Copies are kept at the BNF and in the Dutuit collection of the Petit-Palais Museum in Paris.
