"Important Situla After The Roman Model Found At Pompeij.foundery Chiurazzi, Naples Circa 1870"
The original is on display at the National Archaeological Museum at Naples and was discovered during excavations in Pompeij. The body is in bronze, the decorations are essentially silver and copper. The handles are decorated in the same way. Very nice patina. This situla is published in the catalogue of the foundery Chiurazzi under lot number 288. Naples, ca. 1870
