Louis XV cartel and its lamp base in green horn veneer. Rich ornamentation of gilded chiseled bronzes with floral motifs, acanthus leaves and stylized rockeries. Bati stamped "A.DUBOIS" and "JME" punch of jurande. The dial is made up of twenty five enamelled cartridges, central cartridge signed "GOSSELIN Paris". Original movement also signed GOSSELIN in PARIS. Wire suspension. Louis XV period. Adrien DUBOIS: Received Master in 1738, manufacturer of clock cases. Jean-Philippe GOSSELIN: Parisian watchmaker received Master in 1717, installed Rue Des Petits Champs in 1740, then Rue St-Honoré from 1753-57; Died in 1766.
