"18th Century Pair Of Oval Dishes With Contoured Edge In Earthenware From South West France With Flower Decor"
Pair of very pretty dishes from the 18th century, Earthenware from the South-West most certainly. Beautiful model with a contoured edge, also said to be eventful, with a strong lip all around its edge underlined with blue painted lines.
They are adorned with a decoration of small flowers, foliage and buttons in shades of ocher, green and blue.
In very good condition, they do not present any notable defects, just the marks of cooking or small "defects" of use which make the charm of these beautiful earthenware of the XVIIIth century (traces of pernettes, removals of cooking, attached to the oven on the back of one, small scratches and one or two small chips of no consequence).
Finally, let me tell you that they both sound beautifully.
