Marius Honoré Bérard, born in 1896 in Salindres in the Gard is an abstract painter. He studied at Alès. His first abstract painting dates from 1913 and from 1921 he sought to align pictorial expression with musical language and translated the music of Debussy and Bach into pictorial rhythms.
In 1946, he became a member of the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles committee. From 1950, he traveled and exhibited in South America.
