Oil on panel "Merchant port under the snow" Circa 1950 French School of the 50s / 60s Oil on framed panel A very Nordic atmosphere for this harbor basin bathed in its winter light. The imposing sun treated in La Van Gohg which tries to pierce the snowy sky, gives an opaque effect to the water frozen by the cold. The green-gray, the black hulls contrasted with orange, collide harmoniously with this ephemeral snow. A very nice effect for this imposing colored canvas: (frame 85x68) (canvas 72x53cm). Unsigned but a very nice pictorial touch. Bears the stamp of the Galerie Madeleine Guillot in Menton. See at the back.
