This magnificent colorful rug, living in wool on wool, is from the first part of the 20th century, it measures 136 cm wide by 174 cm long. At first glance, we might think of a Caucasian rug with its two big stars and its vibrant colors, but no this rug is indeed an Anatolian of superb quality, possessing a rare graphic for the Sivas type. The changes of wool, the colors show us the good village side of this carpet knotted by women for the trade or their personal use. These rural carpets, knotted by the women of the villages, are always full of fantasy and liveliness, the carefully spun wool is of very fine quality, soft and fine, the patterns have been there since the dawn of time.
