Object description :

"Stained Glass - Judith And Holoferne"
Judith accompanied by her maid prepares to cut off Holofernes' head.
This stained glass window dates from the end of the 19th century; the date 1587 shows that our stained glass is a copy of a piece dated 1587.
1587 is perhaps an evocation of the battle of Coutras.
This stained glass panel was made from colorless and colored glasses and painted with grisaille, enamel and silver yellow, surrounded by lead.
