Signed and dated R. Bloos, 1922.
In the 20th century, Richard Bloos worked in France, where he was inspired by the impressionist paintings representing scenes from Parisian streets. He was often found in Montmartre and Montparnasse, the favorite places for artists. In 1909-10 he exhibited at the “Salon des Indépendants” and from 1909 to 1913 at the “Salon d'Automne”, showing his portraits and figurative work. During the years 1910-1914, he also exhibited at the “Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts” with his genre paintings or his views of Paris.
