Persian carpet "Gabbeh", 219cm X 156cm, hand knotted around 1970 on warp and weft in wool and goat hair. Gabbeh is a traditional type of Persian carpet. In Persian, the word means “raw”, “natural”, “uncut”. Gabbeh is a small hand-knotted rug almost exclusively by women of nomadic tribes from Iran, Turkestan and Afghanistan.
