"Large Vase In Chiseled Sterling Silver, Iran XXth Century. Beautiful Goldsmith, Diplomatic Gift."
Iran, large silver vase, twentieth century work with finely chiseled and embossed decoration. On the belly, three polylobed medallions worked in repoussé decorated with motifs of birds, foliage and flowering branches. The vase has annotations under the base, this one partially erased, we can however a few words in French notably "Iran 1 May 1948", this vase was offered to a French collaborator probably in order to thank him. Good general condition, this object has a slight dent on one side, a slight dent at the base. The bottom of the vase is partially detached. Very beautiful goldsmith's work.
