"Large Bronze Candlestick, Dragons And Caryatid, Candelabra With Seven Lights, Candlestick, XIXt"
Sumptuous and large (height 79cm !!) lighting chandelier with 7 lights, in bronze with brown patina, from the Napoleon III period. This magnificent luminaire is composed at its base of a cherry red marble plinth on which rests a baluster-shaped foot adorned with two small ornate sockets. The central shaft is then divided into six sconces, each representing a winged dragon supporting the candlestick. Finally, the whole is surmounted by a caryatid supporting the last fire. The bronze ornamentation of this candlestick is of a rare finesse of execution, the carvings are absolutely sumptuous. Very good quality and thickness of bronze. The set also makes a significant weight ... This candlestick is in good house condition, some small patina wear can be noted on the lower part of the light and thus give charm and authenticity to the object. Note, the top of the candle holder is very slightly inclined (without incidence, see photos).
