"Caesar In Bronze - Italy, Eighteenth Century"
This 18th century Italian bronze with brown patina represents a Roman emperor wearing a laurel wreath, dressed in a sumptuous breastplate embossed with carving. Wielding in his right hand a staff of command, our bronze elegantly reinterprets the ancient type of the Augustus Imperator, conveyed in the public space by famous Roman bronzes, like that of Marcus Cocceius Nerva, erected on the Forum Romanum of the capital of the Empire.
