Iranian wool rug, cotton warp and weft, 1950. Good condition. Usual wear.Meymeh rugs are easily recognized by their diamond patterns called "djangali", that is to say "from the jungle". This small Iranian town, located between Kashan and Isfahan and near Djoshagan, made rugs after the Second World War.
Salmon pink color. Beautiful patina. A beige border is surrounded by two "aleh abassi" borders (tulip borders).
