Object description :

"Large Art Deco Cow Skin Club Armchair St. Marc Du Plantier Belle Provenance."
Club armchair dating from the 1940s and 1950s covered with cowhide, resting on a black lacquered beech base.
Great decorators like Jacques Adnet or Marc du Plantier have made similar armchairs for their clients. The cushion is filled with feathers, it is stained as visible on the last photo.
There is no more cleaning cloth below, we can have one put on on request, we can see that there have already been two poses of this cloth underneath. Provenance:
these armchairs come from the estate of a former great antique dealer specializing in art deco who had Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé as clients in his shop at the Louvre des antiquaires, who died in the 1980s, his name will be written on the invoice.
This antique dealer owned works by Jean Lambert Rucki, Jean Michel Frank ..... This armchair was stored from 1985 to 2020 in the Morbihan and still has its storage label in the Odoul furniture repository 16 rue de l'Atlas in Paris, this label was affixed around 1950 on this chair.
