Very large rug, 545cm X 380cm, hand knotted around 1960 in India from a drawing by William Morris, perfect condition. William Morris (1834-1896): British poet, designer, writer, painter, textile designer and reformer, one of the main representatives of the Arts and Crafts movement. The influence of this movement extends throughout Europe and the United States and contributes to the development of Art Nouveau.
