"Portrait Of A Young Belgian Military, Oil On Canvas XIXth"
We know everything about this handsome young man, his name, his regiment, his city Liège in Belgium. It is a very beautifully crafted painting, we will notice how much the martial and soft gaze is at the same time rendered, but also the transparency of the complexion of the face. I find this soldier moving, and moving soldiers is rare! ! this painting has been restored several times probably, but its canvas is original and it is in good condition. The frame is a bit "tinkered" but not bad, it is signed lower right. A bronze plaque screwed onto the frame names and locates it.
