Commode Inlaid With Violet Wood Louis XIV Period End Of XVII Very Beautiful Commode Inlaid With Violet Wood And Rosewood. Opening with 4 drawers in 3 rows. Fluted uprights enriched with Golden Brass. Richly Ornamentation of Bronzes. The Wood Species used of Very Good Quality, Very Nice Finish. It is topped with a Royal Red Molded Marble Top. The Commode which is presented to you here, is in Excellent Condition, The Original Marble also in Excellent Condition. Very Beautiful Proportions Commode. This is a work Attributable to the Famous Cabinetmaker, ETIENNE DOIRAT. Etienne Doirat (1675-1732) - cabinetmaker. One of the rare great cabinetmakers of the Regency. These pieces of furniture are frequently made of amaranth or violet wood, veneered in leaves or inlaid with squares. Dimensions: Height: 83 cm Width: 115 cm Depth: 59 cm Parisian work from the end of the 17th century, very early 18th century.
