Paul Seston is a French painter born in Nantes on 1 October 1905 and died in the same city on 23 June 1985.A pupil of Émile Simon and Emmanuel Fougerat at the École supérieure des beaux-arts in Nantes, he painted many pictures, including studies and compositions of roses1 inspired by his personal rose garden where he grew more than 100 varieties. He also painted many landscapes of Brittany, the Pays de Loire and the South-West of France, landscapes of Italy, as well as still lifes and some portraits.
