The doubled metal is the 19th name of the silver metal.
A difference separates them, the doubled metal corresponds to a silver plating on copper, while the silver metal is on brass or white metal.
This high-quality dish warmer consists of 3 parts, the body resting on four feet, the candle holder and its cover.
Decorated with a gadroon motif, on the turn and handles, acanthus leaves on the feet, stars and circles in openwork decorations, allowing ventilation and an oxygen supply for the burner.
Note very slight silver removal on the handles and feet (see photos), scratches and slight shocks on the plate (see photos).
French work of the XIXth century, hallmarked "ODIOT A PARIS DOUBLÉ 20".
Also from ODIOT and the same model, you will find the oval dish warmer on our gallery.
