Charming Oil On Wood Panel Representing A Country Scene After Ridgway Knight

The painting depicts a scene from daily life in the countryside: a young peasant woman lifts a large bale of grass in order to place it in the nearby wheelbarrow, her gaze turned towards a busy path. Signed lower left. Dimensions: 14 cm x 19 cm (panel) 26.5 cm x 31.5 cm (with the frame) The panel is bevelled on each of its sides. It is highlighted by a charming period "Montparnasse" frame in nicely molded wood, patinated and decorated with shuttles on the edge. Good condition despite a friction in the center of the Marie-Louise and some very small patina losses. The table deserves a light cleaning.
