"Gouache Japan"
Set of 4 gouaches on rice paper or mulberry (washi). Enhanced with gilding, they represent scenes of battle and court. Some small accidents, pinholes at the angles, slight lack of material at the base (photos). The main motif is intact, the colors are vivid, no folds or tears. Anonymous. Japan late 18th - early 19th.
