"Rocky ledge in Marseille"

Oil on panel,
Signed lower right,

Beautiful finely made work by the Marseille painter Alexandre Isailoff which represents the corniche in Marseille at the end of a summer day. The artist was able to transcribe perfectly with his colors the atmosphere of a summer day in Provence.
This work is inspired by the technique directly from his master, the painter Jean-Baptiste Olive.

Born in Constantinople, he studied with Regnier at the National School of Fine Arts in Marseille, then with Jean-Baptiste OLIVE. At the end, he turned to a career as a painter and designer. He perfected his preparation with a trip to the Orient from where he returned to France and settled in Paris. He exhibited in various Salons including that of the Champs-Elysées.
His production is devoted to representing, with warm colors, landscapes of Provence and Italy.

This painting may form a pair with the other work currently for sale.
