Julius Seyler (1873 - 1958) was an animal and landscape painter born in Munich In 1892 he studied with Wilhelm von Diez at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, then in 1898 by Ludwig von Herterich and in 1900 by Heinrich von Zügel.
In 1924, he was appointed professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.
Seyler visited Paris and the south of France for the third time in 1927.
In 1930/35 he stayed several times on the island of Sylt in northern Germany.
He was a very productive artist, unfortunately in 1944, his workshop was bombed in Munich and 300 works were destroyed.

Condition: Good condition, the varnish has yellowed a little over time. Use wear , small accidents on the frame .
