Ivory frame with 20 strands (including 1 broken without missing) plus the 2 outside (one of which has been repaired). Very fine skin sheet with painted decorations. The scene represents a woman seated next to a large world map. A man arrives holding a ruler and a compass. Nice subject on geography. On the ivory strands is painted a Chinese scene with 2 little girls, flowers and butterflies. 49 x 28 cm
