"Ettore Zaccari Armchair"
Art Nouveau mahogany armchair. Floral patterned. Circa 1910. Ettore Zaccari was trained in the applied arts courses of the Academy of Brera and the School of Applied Arts of Castello Sforzesco, directed by Luigi Cavenaghi. He opened a boutique in Milan, via Pisacane, specializing in the execution of elaborate frames that mingled eclectic elements. From Zaccari's studio, led after the sculptor's death by Mario Magnoni, however, not only frames came out, but also entire furniture whose style was based in the wake of what was proposed by the Arts and Crafts movement. English.
