It is also a combination furniture since the moving marble reveals a psyche mirror.
Beautiful ormolu bronzes very finely chiseled. Fine Parisian production from the end of the Empire, circa 1810s. (close to the work of Molitor, perhaps from his workshop or a good follower). We sold 2 years ago a piece of furniture from Molitor very similar in spirit, quality and finishes. https://www.gslr-antiques.com/fr/boutique/meubles/commode-secretaire-molitor-acajou-mouchete.php
Beautiful collector's furniture with good finishes and a rare format. It is in excellent condition and has been restored with a new varnish. The gilding of the gilded bronzes is extremely well preserved. Mercury glass that was broken was replaced with an mirror from the same period with a beautiful shimmering tin.
