"Important Fireplace Plate Dated 1626 (120 X 112 Cm)"
important fireback dated 1626, from the Jura, with the arms of the Oudinet family, native of Cambrai and installed in Champagne in the seventeenth S. The first 6 of this date is quite remarkable, and we found a plate dated 1625, with this same singular figure, coming from Besançon, to the museum of Dôle and quoted in the work dedicated to the chimney plates of Henri Carpentier (see last photo), two important columns of Hercules complete its decoration.
Coat of Arms: Of mouths, two daims crawling and facing with silver (Armorial of the main houses of families of the kingdom, 1758).
In the last photo, the coat of arms of the Oudinets inventoried by Charles d'Hozier (1696/ XVIIIth S.).
It is to be noted a crack, healed by time, in the lower part.
Its weight is 251 kg.
