Series dedicated by the publisher De Lamotte and offered as a tribute to the famous socialist lawyer Henri Celliez (Paris 1806-Paris 1884). 8 numbered volumes comprising 640 finely colored engravings. 2 volumes without numbering: - Introduction: History of the private life of the French with portrait of Louis Napoleon. - Appendix: Curious collection of rare or unpublished original pieces in prose and verse on costume and fashion revolutions in France. Condition of use; freckles; the upper corner of the first 8 pages of the appendix is missing. Engravings with bright colors.
