Oil on canvas depicting The Faucher brothers (1760-1815), also called "the twins of La Réole", named Constantin and César, are twin brothers, born in Gironde at La Réole on September 12, 1760, who became brigadier generals during the French Revolution. They both died the same day, shot in Bordeaux on September 27, 1815 by decision of a council of war, victims of the "White Terror". we notice the following inscriptions: In the middle at the top: "Born on the same day" In the middle at the bottom: "Dead on the same day" As well as their respective first names: "Caesar and Constantine" in a gilded wood frame in good condition Dimensions without frame Width: 52 cm Height: 43 cm
