"Virgin And Child In Boxwood XVIIIth"
Superb and elegant Madonna and Child in 18th century boxwood. She is represented standing holding the infant jesus in her arms. The faces, whether of the virgin or of the child, are worked with great finesse. The virgin is covered with a tunic also very well carved. The patina of the whole has remained original and only the child's hands are damaged. Quality object in good condition, trace of an old collector's label.
