Conical in shape, the crown bears many brightly colored birds on the sides.
At the top is placed a removable bird and around the perimeter, we can find: six birds pecking in the upper part two representations of faces four birds which also peck in the lower part.
Dimensions: - height 50 cm - diameter of the base: 24/25 cm.
Note:
-it is called "large crown" because of the large number of birds symbolizing the royal sacred powers.
-Some of these crowns show no (or little) trace of use since in any case these crowns are only used for official events. The Yoruba kings owned large collections of various sizes and types.
