"Superb Carp In Carved Boxwood"
Boxwood okimono of a carp. Very naturalistic sculpture of the fish with its body slightly curved to the right its tail trashing the water. The eyes are double inlaid with gilt and dark pupils. It is signed on the underside with a rectangular reserve Tametsugu reserve. Sold with its original box made of kiri wood (paulownia). On the lid is inscribed Koi (carp), inside the lid Yugado Tametsugu saku (made by Yugado Tametsugu, with Yugado seal.
