"“the Excelsior” Corkscrew Patented By Armand Guichard September 27, 1882"
“L'Excelsior” corkscrew patented by Armand Guichard on September 27, 1882.

Steel, nickel-plated bronze and ebony cage model. The spacer disc, integral with the wick, guided by the columns of the cage, prevents the wick from turning when the handle is actuated to extract the stopper.
The ebony handle ends on each side with a metal tip used to break the wax from the bottles.
Marked “L'EXCELSIOR AG Bte SGDGPARIS” on the mobile spacer.
Beautiful copy of a 19th century collector's corkscrew in perfect working order.
Whole wick, very good condition, traces of use.
