Beautiful handle in form of dolphin (characteristic of  Franche Comté and Bourgogne); this form of handle was first created in honor of the Dauphin, Louis de France, son of King Louis XV, died at 36 years before his father.   
Hinged lid with its grip formed of grape grains on a bed of vine leaves
