Alimondo Ciampi is a Florentine sculptor and medalist, a pupil of sculptor Dominico Trentacoste. He participated in five editions of the Venice Biennale, from 1909 to 1924 and participated in various other exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Some of Ciampi's sculptures have been included in the collections of prestigious museums and galleries in Italy and abroad. Ciampi's esteemed and prolific artistic production includes plaster, terracotta, bronze and marble statues depicting mainly female nudes, busts of men, women or children. Ciampi in his sculptures seeks the harmony of lines and the simplicity of the composition, showing himself faithful to the truth in his absolutely realistic representations but imbued with poetry.
The sculpture is signed "Alimondo Ciampi".
