SHAKO OF FUSILIERS OF THE 31st INFANTRY REGIMENT, model 1825, Restoration. Leather barrel covered with black cloth, H 20 cm at the front and 21.5 cm at the back, with a green braid at the top (width 4 cm) and at the bottom a leather bourdalou (width 2, 5 cm). Black waxed leather shell, diameter 24 cm and visor, width 6.5 cm. Iron cockade (diameter 6.9 cm) stamped in relief with a radiant white lacquered sun, model 1818. Brass plate, model 1823, representing a coat of arms with the three fleur-de-lis surmounted by the royal crown, the whole framed by laurel branches; in the lower part a base in the form of a shield cut in its center by the number "31", H of the plate 14 cm, width 11 cm. It is fixed to the barrel by means of a large brass tab which slips into a leather sheath sewn to the barrel. Brass chinstrap composed of a rosette stamped with a fleur-de-lys and leather chin straps covered with 15 scales cut alternately into one or three scallops. Internal cap made up of a leather band cut into many wolf teeth linked together by a lace. France. Restoration. Good condition, some wear to the braid and the leather, missing a scale on a chin bar, the two cords of the chin straps are missing.
