Antoine Jubien, born in 1833, was a student of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lyon from 1847 to 1852 on this painting, from the promenade des Anglais in Nice dated 1872, we can distinguish the old hotel of the English, which was replaced by the Ruhl, then replaced by the Meridien. Several paintings by this painter are visible at the Musée de Lyon and Grenoble.
