Nice anecdotal and animated animated painting by the Provencal artist Eugène François Mayan. The work, in good condition, represents fishermen on the Plage de l'Estaque in 1885. It measures 38 cm by 55 cm (without the frame), it is signed and dated 1885 lower left and annotated "souvenir de fête d 'Ascension Plage de l'Estaque' at the bottom right. The frame on the photo is not the one that will be proposed because it is slightly too large. The work is listed in the boxed book "Cent regards sur Marseille" page 75 published by La Fondation Regards de Provence.
