"Empire Period Clock"
Empire period pendulum "with the chariot of Love" in very finely chiseled bronze. Bronze attributed to Jean Simon Deverberie. The chariot contains the movement, on which surmounted by a shell or Cupid is represented. The young God very lightly dressed in a drape tied in a shoulder strap. At the back of the chariot, a superb dragon spitting flames, enamelled annular dial, indicates the hours in Roman numerals, two hands called “Breguet” in blued steel; it fits into the wheel of a chariot drawn by two fiery horses with enamelled eyes.
