"Sculptural Group With The Ascension Of The Madonna."
sculptural group with the ascension of the Madonna. the sculptural group is in finely carved and polychrome wood. In the center of the group is the triumphant ascending Madonna with open and raised hands, posed on a rock with clouds, a half moon and a serpent. To the left of the group, kneeling in prayer, is Saint-André, sculpted with a classic Baroque touch. on the right we have Saint Anthony of Padua depicted in his classic black habit. Period: mid-17th century the sculpture comes from Genoa and can be attributed to the sphere of sculptor Maragliano. the sculptural group is in fairly good condition with some minor flaws.
