"Copper Leg Warmer. Cooking Coppers. 18th Century."
At first glance, this utensil is reminiscent of a turbotière. However, the shape of the latter is always rhomboid, more rarely diamond-shaped and matches the profile of the fish concerned: turbot, plaice, catfish, ray. This object does not correspond to the cooking of one of these fish, and directs us logically, to the use for cooking ham on the bone. Rolled edge, hammer-mounted, crenellated brass brazing assembly and sturdy wrought iron handles. Complete with its tinned copper grid. Length excluding handles: 46.7 cm. Total length: 57.6 cm. Width: 36 cm. Height: 12 cm. 18th century. Very good condition. See additional information on: http://antiquites-lauginie.fr Free shipping by COLISSIMO for mainland France
