P. FROIDEVAUX is a Swiss artist born in 1918 in Geneva, of Jurasian origin, who lived in the Canton of Vaud. He exhibited in Metz in 1932 then moved to Paris where he exhibited at the great salon of French artists from 1935. From 1936 he exhibited in Bruges, Lausanne as well as in many capitals. Bruges, Le Pont Flamand or Vlamingbrug, located between Vlamingstraat and Sint-Jorisstraat. This is a view from Augustijnenrei Street. A 1937 photo, belonging to the archives of the Brussels Traen Collection, shows exactly the same view as that of the painter one year apart, also in winter (see photo below). Painting professionally cleaned and framed.
