"Suite Of Two Enamelled Stoneware And Gilt Bronze Baluster Vases - Ming Period"
Suite of two baluster-shaped vases in turquoise and aubergine enamelled sandstone with relief decoration, for one of bouquets of chrysanthemums and insects and for the other vase of Lotus flowers and pierced rock, this vase presents a crack on one side, wear and micro-chips on the relief decorations. Ming period vases with chiseled and gilded bronze mounts in the Regency style of the XIXth Century. Provenance: These vases come from the Edouard Larcade collection, nephew of Madame Lelong at the origin of the collection. You will find a photo of the representation of these two vases on page 18 under numbers 39 and 41 of the catalog, leather bound from the collection by Georges Bal. These two vases have a slightly different size.
