Painter and watercolorist, he was the youngest of three siblings, also painters. G. Ventrillon very early on followed the example of his brothers. He attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Nancy. In 1930, he undertook a trip to Algeria where he stayed for two years. He painted beautifully crafted landscapes, colorful still lifes and custom portraits of personalities. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Lorrains and the Galerie Moser has dedicated personal exhibitions to him. We find his works at the Museum of Fine Arts and at the Lorraine Historical Museum in Nancy.
