"Indian War Mace"
An North indian 'shishpar' flanged war mace composed of eight cusped iron flanges (one refitted) and a spike. A cylindrical iron haft and a steel tulwar hilt. Remains of silver and gold-plating result in a pleasing age patina. Strong characteristic quillions ending in dome shaped finals. The disc pommel with a raised rim. The grip is sectioned which matches beautifully with the repeating flanges below. North India, probably Gujarat, around 1800.
