This artist born in Rouen is a portrait painter who appeared at the Salon from 1874. The Saint Rémy church in Dieppe preserves it "Notre Dame des Victoires". This very realistic and original painting by the subject is of exceptional quality of execution. The frame is in wood and gilded stucco in its original condition with some missing gilding.
