Year1787: Calendar Snuffbox, Embossed Brass, Sweden, Museum

Pipe tobacco snuffbox, fairly flat, rectangular in shape with rounded angles, thick brass, tinned interior, hinge on one side. Astonishing decoration: it is a calendar for the year 1787 in Sweden, which gives the months, the days, and even the holidays and events by “illustrated icons” as we say now. It is Swedish, we owe it to Mr. Norman.
Inscriptions: AL Manach. C: Norman and Runstafwen. RUNSTAFWEN FÖRSWENSKAD 1787 4/1 and below: EN BESTANDIK ALMANACH C: NORMAN. It is not a unique piece, but rare enough to appear in the museums of: Bohuslans in Uddevalla, Sweden, inventory NO. UM001769 and at the Sörmland Museum in Nyköping, Sweden, inventory no 51012.
Fairly good condition, it has now taken 250 years and some wear, including a blow to a corner, restored from pewter.
