The knotted upright flares out at the top by 4 branches forming a bowl-holder basket. At the bottom, 3 hooks, one of which is shell, are attached by riveting. The base has the beginnings of a three-lobed fenestration decoration inside, which has now disappeared, characteristic of 15th-16th century productions. (See photos n ° 10 and 11 showing two fenestration models). The easel is grafted with a forge at an angle, on the basis of the amount. The term chenet, too general, designates small fireplace accessories. The landier, large in size, has the sole function of holding the logs. Only the hastier, in addition to this role, is provided with hooks which support the pins or hastes. Height: 66.5 cm. Length: 42 cm. 15th-16th century. Very good condition.
